MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) – A visit of a Canadian business delegation to Belarus will be organized in May-June 2018. The plans were discussed at a meeting between Head of Belarus’ National Center for Marketing and Price Study Valery Sadokho and Counsellor (Commercial) and Senior Trade Commissioner at the Canadian embassy in Poland Nicolas Lepage, BelTA learned from spokeswoman for the National Center for Marketing and Price Study Inna Olshevskaya.
The parties discussed the business cooperation between Belarus and Canada. Valery Sadokho noted that the potential of bilateral relations is still hugely untapped and that today there are more opportunities for cooperation.
According to the preliminary bilateral agreement, the first visit of the Canadian business delegation may take place in May-June. Nicolas Lepage noted that the meeting during the TIBO exhibition would demonstrate the Canadian businessmen Belarus’ latest achievements in one of the most interesting areas for cooperation – IT.
According to Nicolas Lepage, some Canadian companies have already been cooperating with Belarusian software developers. However, the majority of Canadian businessmen have very few information on the possibilities of cooperation with Belarus, which means there is a need for more B2B meetings, webinars and other business events, including at the National Center for Marketing and Price Study.
The National Center for Marketing and Price Study expressed readiness to assist the organization of meetings and talks for businessmen of the two states.
