MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – It is necessary to make the most of cooperative chains, Belarus’ Economy Minister Aleksandr Chervyakov said during a working trip to Mogilev, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.

Alexander Chervyakov visited several enterprises, including Mogelit and Mogilev Metallurgical Works to discuss the decisions made by the Belarusian People’s Congress and the five-year socio-economic development program that is in the works now. The minister emphasized the need to develop new cooperative ties. “Building cooperative chains between our companies is a growth reserve that is not fully utilized. We should help our enterprises with that,” he said.

Aleksandr Chervyakov cited cooperation between the metallurgical plant and the Olsa company as an example of successful cooperation. “The executive committee and the Industry Ministry helped secure favorable terms of the supply of special pipes to manufacture consumer goods, which accounted for 30% of the plant’s workload. Previously, the Olsa company had to purchase rolled pipes abroad. I urge you to step up efforts to build new cooperation ties and increase import substitution. In turn, on the part of the state, we are ready to provide assistance to producers and are interested in establishing such ties,” the minister said.

The minister also met with the labor collective of Mogelit. Employees of the enterprise had an opportunity to ask Aleksandr Chervyakov their questions.
