MOSCOW, 16 October (BelTA) - Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik proposed to expand cooperation between Belarusian and Russian enterprises in the production of avionics equipment as he visited Ulyanovsk Instrument Manufacturing Design Bureau as part of a Belarusian delegation led by Minsk Mayor Vladimir Kukharev, BelTA learned from the press service of the diplomatic mission.
Ulyanovsk Instrument Manufacturing Design Bureau develops, manufactures and maintains on-board systems for helicopters, aviation systems, and ground aviation equipment. The company is one of the main developers of on-board equipment for the MS-21 aircraft. It also produces equipment for SSJ-100, An-148, An-158, Tu-204SM, Tu-214, Il-96 aircraft. All military aircraft projects have equipment developed by the Ulyanovsk design bureau.
"The design bureau has been successfully cooperating with the Belarusian enterprises Integral and Display for a long time. The ambassador proposed to expand cooperation and team up with Belarusian Planar. For example, we can replace the imported microscopes in use by the laboratories that we visited today," the press service noted.
The Belarusian delegation includes representatives of Belarusian government bodies, enterprises and organizations. The delegation is set to tour industrial enterprises of Ulyanovsk Oblast, to meet with Governor Aleksei Russkikh and attend a meeting of the joint working group on cooperation.
