Brest Oblast, Burgas Province to enhance manufacturing cooperation
BREST, 22 April (BelTA) – Belarus’ Brest Oblast and Bulgaria’s Burgas Province are interested in the development of cooperation in the manufacturing sector, Burgas Province Governor Valcho Cholakov said at the 1st international business forum Brest 2016 on 22 April, BelTA has learned.
Valcho Cholakov noted that Belarus and Bulgaria have laid a good foundation for the development of relations. In particular, our countries are vigorously cooperating in tourism. However, there is a big untapped potential. Brest Oblast has good opportunities for joint work in the light industry and food production; there are big reserves for cooperation in tourism. According to Valcho Cholakov, the Belarusian air carrier Belavia plans to raise the transportation of Belarusian tourists to Burgas Province this year.
The delegation of Bulgaria is taking part in the business forum in Brest. “Bulgarian businessmen are interested in working in Belarus. This forum is very important for our relations. We believe that it is the first step to our common future not only in business, but also in the cultural and historical exchange,” the governor of Burgas Province emphasized.
He also noted that he has arrived in Belarus for the first time and has very good impressions about the country. “I like Belarusian nature, people and their attitude very much. You think that we are the people who will work with you honestly and efficiently for the benefit of the two sides,” Valcho Cholakov said.
