MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Brazil Leonid Krupets met with Governor of Brazil’s State of Ceara Camilo Santana to discuss the prospects of stepping up mutually beneficial cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
At the meeting the sides discussed the economic potential of Belarus, the possibility of enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarusian regions and Brazil’s Ceara in various avenues. They discussed the promotion of Belarusian-made products on the market of the Brazilian region, including the equipment made by OAO MTZ, OAO BelAZ, OAO Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units, petrochemical products, and fertilizers.
As part of the working trip to Ceara’s capital Fortaleza, Leonid Krupets also met with senior officials of the Federation of Industries of the State of Ceara. The Brazilian side was interested in tractors of OAO Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units, products of the Belarusian petrochemical industry made by Polymir, Polotsk-Steklovolokno, and Grodno Azot.
The Belarusian Ambassador met with the president of the Commercial Association of the State of Ceara. The sides discussed the prospects of cooperation between the business circles of Belarus and the Brazilian region, the possibility of signing a cooperation agreement with the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
