MINSK, 31 January (BelTA) - Brazil is showing interest in Belarusian tractors equipped with engines of Minsk Motor Plant (MMZ), BelTA learned from the company.
A delegation from Brazil has paid a visit to Minsk Motor Plant. The president and the director for promotion of new projects of the Brazilian company held negotiations with the plant's management. The agenda of the meeting included cooperation in promotion of Belarusian tractor machinery with the MMZ engines to the Brazilian market.
The delegation from Brazil was taken on an introductory tour of the production facilities, including the conveyors for engine assembly, the newest equipment of the plant, engines and generators.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) and the Agency for Foreign Economic Activities.
“We liked the enterprise. There was an impression that the quality of production is high,” representatives of the Brazilian delegation said at the negotiations.
Minsk Motor Plant specializes in the development, design and manufacture of modern three-, four-, six- and eight-cylinder engines. The company produces more than 100 modifications of engines ranging from 7 to 330 kW, designed for agricultural, road-building and harvesting equipment, trucks and buses, power plants, compressors and other units. Minsk Motor Plant engines are supplied to 49 enterprises in Belarus, CIS and non-CIS countries. The plant sells to more than 50 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa, North and Latin America.
