MINSK, 31 January (BelTA) – In January 2017 the first batch of compact tractors Belarus, produced by the Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units, was shipped to Bangladesh, which became the 55th export destination country for the Belarusian company, BelTA has learned.
Corona Industries Limited, the Bangladeshi partner of the Belarusian plant, has ordered six tractors, attached implements, and a set of spare parts. Taking into account Bangladesh’s climate, the parties agreed on three tractor models: BELARUS-421, BELARUS-410 and BELARUS-320P.
The parties agreed to start a three-month road show of the Belarusian tractors in March to get familiar the potential buyers with the new BELARUS tractor models. Marketing events are due to be held in almost 40 cities.
The parties are also discussing the documents necessary for the participation in a tender to supply nearly 200 compact tractors to Bangladesh. The implementation of the abovementioned events will help make Bangladesh a basic country for further advancement of tractors made by the Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units in South Asia.
The Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units was established in 1945. The public joint-stock company is now part of the industrial group MTZ Holding. The company employs more than 3,000 people. Since 2007 the plant has been making compact tractors under the MTZ license. The company sells to Russia, other post-Soviet countries, Western Europe, Africa, Central and South America, Asia.
