Bobruisk-made tractors Belarus on display in UK

MOGILEV, 28 March (BelTA) – The first presentation of Belarus compact tractors made at the Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units took place at Junction 24, one of the largest livestock markets of the UK Sedgemoor Auction Centre, BelTA learned from the enterprise.

The presentation of Belarusian products was organized by the Banwell-based company Belarus Tractors Ltd. Since 2016, this company has been the official dealer of the Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units in the United Kingdom. The lineup of Belarus compact tractors displayed in the UK includes nine basic models of tractors powered by 25-63hp engines. According to the British dealers of the Bobruisk plant, local farmers are especially interested in Belarus-320 and Belarus-622 tractors.

Belarus Tractors Ltd organized the presentation with the assistance of two representatives of the manufacturer who arrived in the UK to take part in this event, and specialists of the economic mission of the Belarusian Embassy in the UK who also visited Bridgewater in Somerset where Sedgemoor Auction Centre is located. “When you buy a Belarusian tractor you buy 71 years of the production experience of one of the world’s largest tractor manufacturers. With the British agricultural sector expanding and in light of the Brexit launch, we believe that today is the best time for the entry of these compact tractors to our market,” Paul Bateman, CEO of Belarus Tractors ltd, said at the presentation.

“This presentation is one of the most important events in the two companies’ joint efforts to promote Bobruisk-made compact tractors Belarus in the United Kingdom, and to develop a broad dealer network in England, Wales, and Scotland,” the experts said.

Founded in 1945, the Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units is part of MTZ Holding Company. Since 2007, the plant has been making compact tractors under the MTZ license. The export geography of the plant now includes more than 55 destinations.
