MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian national telecom operator Beltelecom shared its experience in the development of innovative business models at a conference in Marseille, BelTA learned from OOO Bel Huawei Technologies.

Beltelecom and Huawei are jointly implementing new business models. The two companies made a joint presentation of the Smart Home service during the international exhibition FTTH Conference 2017 in Marseille. Beltelecom representatives briefed foreign colleagues on the progress in the implementation of the Smart Home services in Belarus and the close cooperation with Huawei in dealing with the issues they faced at the initial stage of the project.

Beltelecom also attended the Gigaband 2017 forum organized by Huawei to talk about the development of broadband access and Smart Home technology in Belarus. The company and other major telecom companies shared their experience in innovative business models in the gigabit access era.

Belarus improved its position on the ICT Development Index by the ITU from 52nd position in 2010 to 31st in 2016. The country has become a leader in terms of ICT development among the CIS states.
