Bellesbumprom to boost exports to Arkhangelsk Oblast

MINSK, 31 March (BelTA) - Bellesbumprom companies plan to boost the export of their products to Arkhangelsk Oblast in 2015. The matter was discussed at the talks between representatives of Bellesbumprom Concern and the biggest pulp and paper plant in Arkhangelsk Oblast, Spokesperson for Bellesbumprom Concern Ruzhena Novitskaya told BelTA.

The parties reached agreements on mutual product supplies. Companies of OAO Svetlogorsk Pulp and Cardboard Plant, OAO Spartak Paper Factory and the Belorusskiye Oboi Holding Company are ready to supply cardboard, fluting (a type of paperboard manufactured for the production of corrugated board) and topliner (a type of cardboard).

During the visit to Belarus the representative of the Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Plant got familiar with the activity and products of the Minsk Holding Company Belorusskiye Oboi and OAO Svetlogorsk Pulp and Cardboard Plant.

According to the concern, Bellesbumprom companies enjoy robust partner relations with Arkhangelsk Oblast companies that supply necessary raw materials. “The Bellesbumprom companies import waste paper, wood pulp, different types of paper and cardboard. In 2014 the Belarusian companies imported $5.6 million worth of products from Arkhangelsk Oblast,” said Ruzhena Novitskaya.

The main exports of Bellesbumprom companies to Arkhangelsk Oblast are chip plates and fiberboard, paper, cardboard, furniture and other woodwork products. In 2014 this Russian region imported Belarusian wood products worth of $2.3 million.
