MINSK, 30 November (BelTA) - In January-September 2016 Bellesbumprom enterprises increased exports to France by 13%, BelTA learned from the press service of Bellesbumprom, the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern.
In January-September 2016 Bellesbumprom Concern enterprises exported goods worth more than $2 million to France, Bellesbumprom informed. Belarusian timber companies supply French customers with furniture, doors, windows, wood constructions, insulating fiberboard and chipboard plates, and also plywood, sawn timber, packaging, and wood fuel. The largest exporters to France are OAO Borisov DOK, Pinskdrev Holding Company, Shklov-based newsprint mill and OAO Stroidetali.
“Increasing export to France is the result of joint work of Bellesbumprom and the Belarusian Embassy in France. Thanks to the active effort to find new partners and promote Belarusian timber products in that country we have signed several major contracts,” the press service said.
For example, Belarus delivers frame-panel house sets for the construction of residential settlements in several provinces of France. In 2015 the Domostroenie branch of the Shklov-based newsprint mill sold wooden constructions worth $325,300 to the French developer. It is expected that this figure will exceed $400,000 in 2016 and will be increased to $1.5 million in 2017. The agreement on shipments is supposed to be signed during the first Belarusian-French interregional forum.
