MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) – In January-September 2017 Bellesbumprom Concern companies increased supplies to Kazakhstan to $18.3 million, 42.3% up from the same period last year, BelTA learned from Bellesbumprom spokeswoman Ruzhena Novitskaya.
The Belarusian companies deliver practically the whole lineup of its products to Kazakhstan. Furniture accounts for more than 60% of the total exports. Particle boards are ranked second. In January-September their export to Kazakhstan rose five times over the same period of last year. Export items also include fiberboard, plywood, lumber, doors, windows, various timber products, wallpaper, paper, cardboard, matches and many more.
Kazakhstan is among the CIS largest and most promising markets for the enterprises affiliated with Bellesbumprom Concern. In terms of supply volumes it is third, behind Russia and Ukraine. The Bellesbumprom companies have systematically expanded contacts with partners from Kazakhstan. Trade and economic cooperation has been growing rapidly. There are all preconditions for the further growth of the Belarusian timber export to that country.
