Belkommunmash mulls joint production of electrobuses with China

MINSK, 29 February (BelTA) - Belkommunmash Company plans to produce electrobuses jointly with China, Deputy Chairperson of the Minsk City Hall Zhanna Birich said at the meeting between the Minsk City Hall authorities and Deputy Vice Premier Natalia Kochanova on 29 February to discuss the development of the social and economic sector in the light of the requirements of Decree No.78, BelTA informs.

“We are looking into possible implementation of a joint project on the production of electric buses by Belkommunmash and Xinzhou Corporation,” Zhanna Birich said.

In her words, there is a huge potential in the development of relations with China that is Minsk’s partner in attracting resources and technologies for economic development. The Belarusian capital has been tasked with attracting at least $100 million of Chinese FDI.

On the whole Minsk will continue the implementation of 27 investment projects in 2016 with a view to developing international cooperation and attraction of foreign direct investment.

She added that there are plans to attract about $500 million of net direct investment through reinvestment of undistributed profits of organizations with the foreign capital, debt instruments and state property sales.
