MINSK, 17 October (BelTA) – Director of Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) Natalia Kurash spoke about Belarus’ trade with the countries of Asia in an interview to Belarus 1 TV Channel, BelTA has learned.
According to her, the Chinese market is very friendly for Belarus. “The epidemiological situation led to a short pause in the exhibition work, but we are now resuming it. Belarus is set to display its national exposition at the Chinese international import exhibition on 5-10 November. The exposition will showcase 27 Belarusian companies. Today Chinese companies are interested in our goods, especially foodstuffs. Beef and confectionery are the most popular products for China,” said Natalia Kurash.
Tajikistan also shows its interest in Belarusian products. “The country imports Belarusian industrial goods and agricultural machinery in the first place,” the expert added.
Natalia Kurash also spoke about cooperation of Belarusian enterprises with other Asian countries. For example, supply contracts for Belarusian food products were signed at the Armenia EXPO in September. Then there was the Rebuild SYRIA exhibition, during which Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1 concluded a contract for the delivery of its products. “The exhibition in Syria was also good because representatives of nearby countries gathered there. It was a great chance to enter different markets. Kuwait, UAE, Iran, Iraq, and Jordan also buy our products. If you prepare well for the exhibition, you can sell goods to 10-15 countries at a time,” the expert said.
