MINSK, 23 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian national electrical company Belenergo and the Slovenian engineering company Riko have signed a memorandum of understanding on prospective cooperation in implementing power engineering projects in Belarus, Slovenia and other countries. The document was signed during the sixth session of the Belarusian-Slovenian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation in Ljubljana on 23 June, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna acted as the Belarusian co-chairwoman of the commission. The Slovenian delegation was led by Tomaz Lovrencic, Director General for Common Foreign and Security Policy of the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the session the sides discussed matters of bilateral cooperation, including interaction in agriculture, power engineering, production sector, transport, innovations, tourism and education.
