BelAZ to ship 12 haul trucks to Algeria in September

MINSK, 3 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ will ship 12 BelAZ-7555E haul trucks to Algeria’s largest cement manufacturer Group Industrial Cement Algeria (GICA Group), BelTA has learned.

As of late August 2020 the Algerian company had already received 12 haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 60 tonnes and nine frontal loaders. The vehicles are supposed to increase cement production in the open pits Saoura and Zahana. Appreciating advantages of the Belarusian trucks, GICA Group declared BelAZ winner of two more tenders. A contract on shipping 12 more haul trucks to the open pit Saoura has already been signed. The vehicles will be shipped in September.

BelAZ is the world's leading manufacturer of haul trucks and transport equipment for mining industry and civil engineering industry. BelAZ accounts for some 30% of the world market of haul trucks with an extremely large carrying capacity. The company makes the world’s largest haul truck with the carrying capacity of 450 tonnes.
