MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ, the managing company of BelAZ Holding Company, exported its products to 25 countries in 2015, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Industry Ministry.
“The company supplies its products to different regions of the world. Its partnership geography is expanding from year to year. In 2015 BelAZ had partnership ties with 42 countries. BelAZ vehicles were shipped to 25 countries,” the ministry said.
The Industry Ministry pointed out that the company’s major trading partners include Russia, the United Kingdom, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Vietnam, Iran, Italy, and Kazakhstan. “The bulk of products was traditionally exported to the Russian Federation. These ten countries accounted for 91.8% of the company’s total trade,” the ministry added.
In 2015 BelAZ found new trading partners on the African continent. For example, a large consignment of BelAZ products was shipped to Zimbabwe in December 2014 and put into operation in 2015, and rubber-tired bulldozers BelAZ-78231 are now operated in Morocco.
The Zhodino-based Belarusian Autoworks (BelAZ trademark) was founded in September 1948. In 2010 BelAZ was reincorporated into a public joint stock company (OAO). In September 2012 BelAZ became the managing company of BelAZ Holding Company. BelAZ is the world’s top manufacturer of mine dump trucks with a large carrying capacity and an extremely large carrying capacity as well as other heavy transport equipment used in the mining industry and the civil engineering industry.
