MINSK, 20 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian haul truck manufacturer BelAZ continues increasing export to non-CIS states, the company’s press service told BelTA.
The company’s export diversification efforts set new records in January-September 2020. The average monthly shipment to non-CIS states and the share of non-CIS markets in the total volume of shipments reached new record highs in the entire history of the company.
In January-September 2020 non-CIS sales increased by 160% in comparison with the same period of last year. The share of non-CIS markets in the total shipments amounted to 43.8% in January-September 2020, 36.4% up from January-September 2019. The figure reached 46.8% in September 2020, 36.1% up from September 2019.
In January-September 2020 BelAZ shipped trucks to 22 countries, including 15 non-CIS ones. In particular, India received another batch of 130-tonne dump trucks in September. This year India has received a total of 61 haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 130 tonnes as part of the contract that provides for the delivery of 77 vehicles. Deliveries to South Africa were resumed after a six-year break and 240-tonne BelAZ-75311 trucks were shipped to the country. Algeria received two large batches of 60-tonne trucks as well as frontal loaders, with a total of 33 vehicles shipped to the country since 2019 through September 2020.
Haul trucks, bulldozers, and dust control sprinkler trucks were also shipped to Mongolia, Poland, Bulgaria, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In January-September 2020 BelAZ sold 10.2% of the output on the home market and exported 89.8% of the output, including 33.1% to Russia and 12.9% to other CIS states (Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine).
The top sellers were haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 110-130 tonnes (37%), 45 tonnes (20%), and 55-60 tonnes (18%).
By the end of the year BelAZ intends to ship mining machines to Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Mongolia, Algeria, India, Indonesia, and other countries.
The company has achieved considerable progress in promoting BelAZ vehicles onto non-CIS markets. An active marketing policy meant to penetrate new target markets and secure the company’s stance on them, constant efforts to find additional opportunities to increase sales all over the world have produced positive results.
