MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian air carrier Belavia is working to launch flights to new destinations and to update flight itineraries, BelTA learned from Belavia’s Facebook account.
At present, Belavia can fly to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and the UAE. The air carrier has suspended flights to Lithuania, the United Kingdom, France, Ukraine, Latvia, Finland, Czechia, Switzerland, Estonia, Poland, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Hungary, Moldova, Serbia, Cyprus, and Russia’s Kaliningrad.
“This is a severe blow to the company. But our team is taking every effort to deal with this situation. The airline has started recovering after the COVID-19 pandemic and launching flights to new destinations. We did not expect to find ourselves in such a situation. Although the recent events were beyond Belavia’s control, we are working to open new routes and update flight itineraries,” the message reads.
