MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – OAO Belaruskali intends to start shipping its products to over 100 countries across the globe by the end of 2015, Belaruskali Director General Ivan Golovaty told BelTA.
The executive said that in January-July 2015 Belaruskali sold fertilizers to 85 countries. “Evaluating results of the work I think we will be able to raise the number of countries where our products are sold to over 100 this year,” he stressed.
The Director General noted that the company recently went through the certification process in New Zealand and Australia. The two countries have the toughest requirements for the quality of potash fertilizers. Belaruskali’s merchandise was shipped to New Zealand and Australia in July-August. “I think our getting certified in these countries will encourage other countries to choose our fertilizers,” he explained.
Ivan Golovaty underlined that Belaruskali operates steadily. “Our employees will be paid salaries on time and will also get the benefits specified by the new collective employment agreement. The benefits have been confirmed for the next three years,” he noted.
The public joint-stock company (OAO) Belaruskali is one of the largest producers and exporters of potassium fertilizers in the world. According to the International Fertilizer Industry Association, Belaruskali accounts for 20% of the world’s export of potassium fertilizers. The enterprise operates four mining departments and several auxiliary and service subdivisions.
