MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – Belarusian scientists plan to design vacuum equipment for the Chinese aircraft industry in 2015, BelTA learned from Anatoly Gordiyenko, head of an R&D center of the Physics Technology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, at the press conference held on 10 February to highlight innovative technologies for unmanned aerial vehicles.
“We have recently secured an order from the central office for weapons and military hardware of the Chinese army for the creation of high-energy vacuum equipment and the technology for coating large-sized turbine blades,” explained Anatoly Gordiyenko.
In his words, the Belarusian product will be used to make large aircraft. “Raising high-temperature stability and heat resistance of turbine blades is a serious challenge. We will have to apply heat-resisting coating to heat-resisting alloys. Vacuum technologies are necessary for that. We know how to use such technologies and are ready to get down to the project as soon as the contract is signed,” stressed Anatoly Gordiyenko.
