MINSK, 4 December (BelTA) - The Guangzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College, the Belarusian State University of Transport, Guangdong-CIS international technological cooperation union and CRRC Qiqihar Vehicle Со. Ltd. signed an agreement to set up a center to test imported railway equipment in CIS countries at the annual conference held under the aegis of the Alliance for Vocational Education of Belt and Road in Guangzhou, China on 4 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Transport and Communications Ministry.
“The Belarusian State University of Transport is working to increase the export of services, including by stepping up cooperation with Chinese scientific and educational organizations. The agreement is designed to deepen scientific cooperation in the field of high-speed rail technologies and related services, to meet the needs of the relevant domestic industries in export of services and to improve the efficiency of export equipment certification,” the press service noted.
According to the ministry, the center will be located in China and will be modeled on the testing center and the certification body of the Belarusian State University of Transport.
On Belarus’ behalf, the agreement was signed by Consul General in Guangzhou Andrei Popov.
Rector of the Belarusian State University of Transport Yuri Kulazhenko addressed Chinese partners by a video link, congratulated them on the significant event, expressed confidence in the future success of the joint project, and expressed gratitude to all the stakeholders for cooperation with the Belarusian State University of Transport.
