ZHITOMIR, 3 October (BelTA) – The central part of Ukraine’s Zhitomir – Sobornaya Square – has turned for two days into a huge exposition of the best samples of the Belarusian and Ukrainian machinery, BelTA has learned.
On display are 75 items of Ukrainian, Belarusian and joint equipment, including the latest models. Here one can see rock haulers, tractors, excavators, buses, trolleybuses, harvesters and many more. Belarus is represented at the exhibition by 15 producers, Ukraine – by ten.
Belarus' Gomselmash has showcased its most popular and in-demand model – KZS-1218. The harvester is produced at the joint plant in Ukraine, which provides great opportunities for the consumer. The pricing policy is also rational thanks to localization of the production.
The model was used as a basis to develop a new harvester – KZS-3219 under the "two cylinders plus two rotors" scheme. This is a new product both for Ukraine and Belarus. “Despite a relatively small growth in power, just 60hp, it performance has been increased by up to 30%,” said head of the design department of the Gomselmash research and development center Pavel Betanov. In his words, such machines are already used in the field. The first industrial batch has been produced this year. The harvester has just started moving along in Ukraine. To enter the market the equipment had been tested there for a year.
The company also displayed the self-propelled mower KS-100, designed for crop harvesting under different weather conditions. The machine can also be used for harvesting forage crops.
“We can see interest in cooperation with us. We will do everything possible to expand our presence on the Ukrainian market, because the machinery is worthy and in-demand,” the specialist said.
Minsk Automobile Plant has brought to the exhibition in Zhitomir its truck crane with the load-bearing capacity of 32 tonnes. No such equipment has been produced in the post-Soviet space. Today it is the most competitive product in terms of its characteristics. The truck crane does not require any additional approvals for its operation on public roads. It can enter any construction site thanks to the all-wheel drive chassis. Ukrainian partners have already shown interest in the product. The interest pertains not only to the purchase, but also to the possible establishment of a joint venture to assemble truck cranes in Ukraine.
According to head of the special equipment and chassis sales department at the MAZ - Managing Company of BELAVTOMAZ Holding Company Yuri Pivovarov, most often Ukrainian partners buy buses and chassis on the basis of which they make final products.
“Today Ukraine is a priority market for Minsk Automobile Plant. In exports it is the second largest market for our company. We continue increasing our indicators and our presence there. Last year, we delivered to Ukraine some $91.8 million worth of products. This year we plan to supply the country with more than $92 million worth of goods,” said Yuri Pivovarov. In Ukraine, the plant has more than ten corporate partners, with whom they develop joint products. It is thanks to such cooperation with local producers that the company strengthens its presence in different segments.
Amkodor has displayed the most popular machines on the Ukrainian market. The equipment is used in almost every sector of the national economy: construction, cargo handling operations, snow cleaning and so on.
Leonid Pinchuk, the First Deputy Director of the Amkodor Marketing Center, called the Amkodor 732 excavator-loader on its own chassis very promising for the Ukrainian market. This is a powerful, full-fledged construction machine. On display is also the so-called jaw bucket, used as a loading bucket and as a bulldozer blade.
The wheeled excavator can be used in the urban environment. Being more maneuverable, the machine is in demand in public utilities and road construction. “All the machinery we produce can be equipped with air conditioning. In general, each of them has about 50 more options, which can be installed: air purifiers, centralized lubrication system, LED optics, etc. There are a lot of options. We are client-oriented, and introduce changes to meet the needs of the customer,” Leonid Pinchuk said.
The exhibition also features products of the Belarusian Autoworks. Its machinery is used in North and South America, Asia and Europe. Advantages of these machines include load-carrying capacity and passability.
As for the Ukrainian part, more than 20 items of equipment manufactured on the basis of Belarus' MAZ are on show.
