MINSK, 29 September (BelTA) – About 80 organizations from nine countries will take part in the forthcoming Belarusian Transport Week, BelTA learned from the organizers of the event.
The Belarusian Transport Week which includes the 11th international specialized expo Transport and Logistics 2017 and a rich business program will take place in Minsk on 3-5 October. As many as 77 organizations from 9 countries such as Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Lithuania, Latvia, France and Sweden will participate in the event.
"The Belarusian Transport Week plays a crucial role in the development of the transport infrastructure and the logistics system of Belarus and the neighboring states, assists in bringing in innovations and investments, and helps to increase the volume of international transportation," the organizers said.
The agenda of the Belarusian Transport Week features a plenary session, conferences and workshops where local and foreign experts will present modern technological solutions in transport and logistics. Ways to improve passenger and cargo transportation, containerization and efficient supply chain management, road safety and transport operations will be discussed during the event.
The participants of the expo Transport and Logistics 2017 are transport and logistics centers, manufacturers and dealers of motor vehicles, suppliers of logistics center equipment, insurance companies, seaports and railway authorities from CIS and non-CIS countries. Individual stands of companies will stand next to the national stand of Latvia, collective stands of the Klaipeda port and port companies, the Ukrainian and Armenian railways and the international freight forwarders and logistics association BAIF. Such companies as ZAO Stadler Minsk, OAO Belarusian Potash Company, RUP Belorusneft-Minskavtozapravka, SP Transit, OOO IBA IT Park, OOO KargoSpektr and Mingas UAB will go on display at the expo.
The official opening of the Belarusian Transport Week will take place in the Minsk Football Manage at 12:00 on 3 October.
