MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – Belarusian and Spanish enterprises want to implement a number of investment projects, Jose Luis Kaiser, Director General for International Trade and Investments at the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, told reporters after the first session of the Belarusian-Spanish joint intergovernmental commission for economic and industrial cooperation on 18 October, BelTA informs.
“We hope to reach agreements on investment projects between Spanish and Belarusian enterprises in the coming months,” Jose Luis Kaiser said.
He also reaffirmed the readiness of the Spanish side to develop and enhance trade and economic relations with Belarus. “The instruments that are proposed by the State Secretariat for Trade and the Corporate Internationalization Fund can be used by the Belarusian side for the financing of joint projects between Belarusian and Spanish enterprises,” the director general remarked.
Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko, in turn, said that investment cooperation is an important aspect of the trade and economic interaction between the two countries. However, in his opinion, the sides are not using the existing potential in full. “But I am convinced that the efficient work of our commission will help increase the number of joint investment projects,” he said.
