MINSK, 25 November (BelTA) – Belarusian scientists are interested in the experience of Siberian colleagues concerning the advanced processing of oil and relevant products. The idea was discussed during negotiations between Vladimir Gusakov, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and Academician Alexander Aseyev, head of the delegation of the Siberian division of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the press service of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) told BelTA.
During the meeting the Belarusian and Russian scientists exchanged business proposals concerning the development of further relations. In particular, the Siberian side was interested in tighter cooperation in the area of chemical synthesis, new materials, engineering biotechnologies, production of new medications and fertilizers for agriculture.
The Belarusian side expressed interest in cooperation with the Siberian division of the Russian Academy of Sciences in a number of projects, in particular, photonics, semiconductor structures growing, ultrahigh-frequency electronics, piezoelectric elements, laser medicine and electronics, materials science, metamaterials.
The establishment of a coordinating center was suggested for more effective interaction between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Siberian division of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
A joint session of representatives of the Siberian division of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will take place on 26 November.
