MINSK, 16 May (BelTA) – Belintertrans - Transport and Logistics Center of the Belarusian Railways is taking part in Transport Logistic China 2018, the trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT, and supply chain management, in Shanghai, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Railways press center.
The company is showcasing a full range of services and opportunities for cargo transportation from China to Europe and back. The expo provides an opportunity to explore transport market and study the global development trends of logistics systems in order to attract more transit and export cargo flows to Belarus.
The press center informed that the modernization of the railway infrastructure within the framework of the II and IX international transport corridors is the priority task for the Belarusian Railways in order maximize the transit potential and increase the transit attractiveness of Belarus. The development of the Belarusian section of the II international transport corridor is aimed at increasing the speed of passengers and freight trains, expanding the possibilities for processing transit cargo flows taking into account Silk Road Economic Belt project and other projects generating cargo flows along the East-West-East route.
Held every two years, Transport logistic China is one of the largest transport and logistics fairs in the Asia-Pacific region. The expo drew 490 companies from 47 countries in 2016.
