MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) has signed a one-year contract with the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) to ship 180,000 tonnes of pink standard MOP beginning from 1 July 2016; the price is based on formula, BelTA learnt from the BPC press service.
“We place significant emphasis on our cooperation with Bangladesh. Today, BPC is an indisputable leader on the promising market of this actively developing country. The ground for such results is the high quality of our products, efficiency, good logistics, trust-based and respectful relations with our partners,” BPC Director General of BPC Yelena Kudryavets stressed while commenting on the contract.
During the meeting, the BADC management expressed intention to look into the possibility of buying other kinds of fertilizers in Belarus, as well as tractors and agricultural machinery.
According to the data, BPC accounted for 55% of the potash market in Bangladesh in 2015.
