MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – Nearly RUB12 billion worth of contracts for the delivery of Belarusian petrochemical products to Russia were signed during the fifth Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in Mogilev on 12 October, BelTA has learned.
Apart from that, a number of export contracts worth RUB1.3 billion were signed with Russian companies in the run-up to the forum.
The top distributor of Belarusian petrochemical products in Russia – Belneftekhim-ROS – signed over RUB6 billion worth of contracts, RUB80 million up from the previous forum of regions of Belarus and Russia. The company has signed contracts to deliver polyester textile yarns, high-pressure polyethylene, polyamide-6, phthalic anhydride, automobile tires for various purposes – ranging from supersized tires to car tires, alkyd resins and other products.
Russian regions will also get polyester fiber and technical yarn made by Mogilevkhimvolokno: the company has signed contracts to the tune of RUB5.6 billion.
The Russian Federation is Belneftekhim’s top foreign partner. In 2017 Belneftekhim’s trade with Russian companies totaled $7.7 billion, 38% up from 2016. In January-August 2018 the trade turnover rose by 32% to $6.4 billion.
