MOSCOW, 22 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian oil refining industry is diversified enough to operate amid sanctions, BelTA learned from Member of the Board (Minister) for Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission Sergei Glazyev during a videoconference on 22 March.
Sergei Glazyev said: “The Belarusian oil industry is rather diversified, it makes a lot of products, this is why I am confident that these refineries have appropriate plans. Moreover, it is not the first time Belarus has to deal with sanctions and the country pays close attention to the development of its oil and petrochemical industries.”
In his opinion, on the whole the Eurasian Economic Union oil industry is ready to increase the crude oil upgrading index. “It seems to me there are no problems here. Every oil refinery of ours, every corporation has plans on development and modernization,” the minister said.
