GOMEL, 26 October (BelTA) – ZAO Belarusian Oil Company intends to increase the volume of merchandise export to Ukraine up to $2.2 billion in 2018, BelTA learned from the company’s Director General Mikhail Puchilo during the plenary session of the 1st Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine on 26 October.
According to the source, the export of oil products to Ukraine reached $1.8 billion in January-September 2018. The figure is on par with the last year’s level. “We can see that the volume of export will rise to $2.2 billion in 2018,” said Mikhail Puchilo.
According to the source, the Ukrainian market is a strategic one for Belarusian oil refineries. Speaking about products in demand in Ukraine, Mikhail Puchilo mentioned diesel fuel, gasoline, and jet engine fuel.
The director general of Belarusian Oil Company believes that success of the export of Belarusian oil products to Ukraine stems from long-term good neighborly relations as well as tighter partnerships with companies in Ukrainian regions.
