MINSK, 5 April (BelTA) – OAO Naftan has shipped a batch of proprietary lubricants to Iraq for the first time ever, the company’s representatives told BelTA.
The first batch of premium lubricants Naftan Premier and Naftan Garant with the viscosity grade SAE 5W30 was shipped to an Iraqi customer in late March. The Belarusian company shipped seven 20-foot containers weighing over 100 tonnes.
The company intends to start selling its products to other Middle East countries, too.
The Belarusian company started making premium lubricants Naftan Premier and Naftan Garant of the SAE 5W30 viscosity grade in H2 2017. The lineup of Naftan Premier and Naftan Garant lubricants was expanded to match the rising demand for engine oils of the viscosity grade SAE 5W30.
The public joint-stock company (OAO) Naftan is a major Belarusian petrochemical company, which makes various kinds of fuel, lubricants, engine oils, bitumens, aromatic hydrocarbons, and other petrochemical products. The company is now undergoing a large-scale retooling campaign worth about $1.6 billion. Construction and installation operations are supposed to be finished by 7 November 2019. The designed output capacity is supposed to be reached by mid-2020.
