MINSK, 26 February (BelTA) – Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant (MZKT, Volat trademark) presented two vehicles that belong to a promising generation of multipurpose unified chassis with a new design during the defense technology expo IDEX 2015 in Abu Dhabi, representatives of the company told BelTA.

According to the source, visitors of the expo are welcome to see the latest products in the MZKT 6001 family in the company’s booth during the 12^th international expo of armaments and military technology IDEX 2015. The products include a brand new model MZKT 600201 with an 8x8 wheel formula and a modernized all-wheel drive chassis MZKT 600100 with a 6x6 wheel formula.

The MZKT 6001 family includes unified wheeled chassis for road conditions. The vehicles rely on the company’s innovative independent suspension Volat. The chassis boasts an automatic gearbox of proprietary design. The high off-road capability, smooth traction and speed in roadless terrain represent an ideal option for carrying expensive and sensitive equipment that needs increased mobility.

Keeping up with the times, Volat vehicles of the MZKT 6001 family boast cutting-edge technologies with improved driving performance in addition to a new-design improved-comfort cabins.

Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant was established in July 1954. It was reincorporated as a public joint-stock company in 2010. At present OAO MZKT is run by the State Defense Industries Committee of Belarus. The company specializes in the development and production of automobiles and trailers with high cargo carrying capacity and cross-country ability. Apart from that, the company makes some components, which are unique in the CIS, including automatic gearboxes, hydropneumatic and spring-based independent suspensions, and winches. Russia is the main foreign market for the company.
