CHISINAU, 31 May (BelTA) – The eighteenth session of the Belarusian-Moldovan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation will take place in Minsk on 5-6 June, representatives of the Moldovan Economy Ministry told BelTA.
The event will take place during the official visit of Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip to Belarus.
Participants of the session will discuss matters relating to the invigoration of Belarus-Moldova cooperation in the production sector, the assembly of passenger transport and agricultural machines, civil engineering, deliveries and processing of agricultural products, healthcare and pharmaceutics. A number of documents will be signed as a result of the session, including a joint action plan on cooperation in cultural affairs in 2017-2019, an action plan to implement the agreement on trade, economic, and cultural cooperation between the Mogilev Oblast administration and the administration of Moldova’s Gagauzia Province in 2018-2020, a program on cooperation between the Belarusian Architecture and Construction Ministry and the Moldovan Regional Development and Construction Ministry in 2017-2018.
An international agricultural expo Belagro is scheduled for 6-10 June. Over 20 Moldovan companies, which specialize in winemaking, farming and processing of fruits and vegetables, beekeeping, and other trades, are expected to present their products during the expo.
According to the Moldovan Economy Ministry, in 2016 Belarus-Moldova trade totaled $204.8 million.
