MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) - Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark) and MAZ-TASHKENT signed a contract for the supply of MAZ machinery worth $1 million, BelTA learned from the press service of the enterprise.
The document was signed as part of the section “Expanding Industrial Cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan”. The section was moderated by Yelena Khateyeva, Deputy Director General - Financial Director, Chairwoman of the primary organization of the Belarusian Union of Women at MAZ.
Head of the foreign economic relations department Sergei Papkovich presented MAZ export opportunities. Representatives of Uzbekistan’s delegation also presented the opportunities of the companies operating in the country. The parties emphasized a high degree of interest in expanding industrial cooperation.
Minsk Automobile Plant is one of Belarus’ largest mechanical engineering companies. It specializes in making heavy-duty trucks, special-purpose vehicles, buses, trolleybuses, and trailing units. MAZ vehicles are compliant with the environmental standards Euro-3, 4, 5, and 6. The company makes a total of over 500 models and 3,000 modifications of tractor units, dropside trucks, and chassis for mounting various kinds of equipment.
