MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – MAZ Tashkent, an official distributor of the Belarusian automobile engineering company MAZ, has opened a new aftersales service center in Uzbekistan, the press service of the Belarusian company told BelTA.

The new aftersales service center will improve access to the maintenance of MAZ vehicles. Since Uzbekistan is a very promising market in terms of sales of trucks, passenger vehicles, and special-purpose vehicles, the expansion of the chain of service centers will increase sales of Belarusian vehicles in the region, the press service said.

Belarusian Industry Minister Piotr Parkhomchik, top executives of MAZ and other Belarusian industrial enterprises attended the opening ceremony.

MAZ is one of Belarus’ largest mechanical engineering companies. It specializes in making heavy-duty trucks, special-purpose vehicles, buses, trolleybuses, and trailing units. MAZ is a well-known international brand. MAZ vehicles are compliant with the environmental standards Euro-5 and Euro-6. The company makes a total of over 500 models and modifications of tractor units, dropside trucks, and chassis for mounting various kinds of equipment.
