MINSK, 16 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian collective stand entitled as Made in Belarus is on show at the FoodExpo 2019 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, BelTA learned from the National Center for Marketing and Price Study of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Belarus is represented at the exhibition by such companies as Spartak, Pinsk Meat Packing Plant, Postavy dairy, Mozhelit and Belorusneft-Osobino. The Belarusian exposition has been organized by the National Center for Marketing and Price Study of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Belarusian embassy in Kyrgyzstan.
The exhibition will include the conference FoodForum where suppliers will have a chance to meet with representatives of trading networks and distributors of Kyrgyzstan and hold talks. The business program will also include congresses, roundtables, presentations, workshops, bilateral meetings.
The FoodExpo 2019 will run through 18 April. The exhibition is one of the most important industrial events in Kyrgyzstan. It is held as part of the 3rd international congress and exhibition forum Week of Food Industry in the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2018, the forum featured companies from Belarus, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, France and other countries. The number of visitors reached 3,500 people, 95% of whom were food specialists.
In 2018, the trade between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan exceeded $130 million, with the Belarusian exports accounting for the bulk of it. Belarus’ main exports included poultry, milk, including milk powder, condensed cream, butter, cheese and curd, sugar.
