MINSK, 22 December (BelTA) - Belarusian companies signed 86 agreements and contracts worth over $80 million in 2021 at exhibitions and forums organized by the Belinterexpo exhibition enterprise, BelTA learned from  the Belinterexpo exhibition enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to Belinterexpo, some $15.4 million worth of agreements and contracts were signed during national exhibitions. “The most productive in terms of the number of contracts signed were the Belarusian exhibitions Chemistry in Moscow - $29.3 million, Innoprom. Big Industrial Week in Uzbekistan, UzProdExpo/UzAgro Expo in Uzbekistan, FoodExpo Kazakhstan - $13 million, Gulfood - $7 million, Innoprom in Yekaterinburg - $2.2 million. The biggest success was reached in the petrochemical sector, mechanical engineering and food industry,” Belinterexpo said.

In 2021 this exhibition company was the operator of 25 exhibitions and expositions in 11 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Serbia, Syria, Tajikistan, United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan. Four events were part of national exhibitions and expositions in the UAE, China, Russia, and Kazakhstan. In addition to national events, 18 expositions abroad were held on a proactive basis and without budgetary support.

In addition, three events were held in Belarus: the exhibitions Day of Belarusian Science 2021 and Belt of Unity, and also the NASB exposition at the Belagro expo.

A total of 162 organizations took part in expositions organized by Belinterexpo abroad.

The total exhibition area of Belarusian expositions was more than 2,400 square meters: 1,600 square meters in the pavilions and 830 square meters at the outdoor areas.

“Enterprises of the food industry and companies of Belgospischeprom Concern were the most active participants in exhibitions abroad. Among the active participants were also enterprises of the Industry Ministry and scientific and technological organizations, including the State Committee on Science and Technology, the Education Ministry and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Belneftekhim companies also actively participated in exhibitions. Ten private enterprises took part in expositions, as well,” Belinterexpo said.

“This year we have tested a hybrid format of participation in exhibitions. For example, we developed a virtual mirror of the Belarusian exposition at the exhibitions Gulfood in Dubai and Innoprom in Yekaterinburg, which let us follow the event online, study the exhibits and make appointments with exhibitors. We took part in the exhibitions in Azerbaijan, China and Syria online,” the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry said.

“Our calendar of exhibitions abroad for 2022 includes more than 100 exhibitions in different countries. We are working to ensure that Belarusian companies find business partners and develop the export geography of their business,” Belinterexpo stressed.
