MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) – The mobile app released by the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry has managed to get interested not only users in Belarus but abroad, too, BelTA learned from the Ministry’s spokesman Vitaly Novitsky.
The curious fact was revealed when the application’s installation statistics was analyzed. Belarus tops the list with over 90% of the installs. It is followed by India, Russia, the USA, and Iran.
The app has been downloaded by over 45,000 people already, specified the source. The app offers all kinds of useful information and tests that can help people prepare for emergencies. The app can also notify users about unfavorable and dangerous phenomena on the basis of storm warnings released by the Belarusian weather service. The app also offers advice on how people should act in certain circumstances. The notification component has been developed on the basis of an interactive map created jointly by the Belarusian Red Cross, BelTA, and the Emergencies Ministry.
The app is available for Android-powered devices from Google Play for now. The development of the app for iOS will begin soon.
