Belarusian electric vehicles offered to Russia’s Krasnodar Territory resorts

Belarusian electric vehicles offered to Russia’s Krasnodar Territory resorts

MINSK, 21 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia’s Krasnodar Territory are working on a massive project to introduce environmentally friendly transport in resort areas, BelTA learned from Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko during the prime minister’s working visit to the city of Krasnodar.

Roman Golovchenko said: “We often meet with the Krasnodar Territory governor because the agenda is quite packed. Every meeting produces concrete results. We met in Minsk in September, instructions were given, and two months later we already have new contracts. A number of other contracts are being finalized. I’d like to thank the governor for the impulse he gives to the advancement of relations across the board. We have big intensive work ahead of us in the future, too.”

A massive program is being implemented to renew Krasnodar Territory’s transportation fleet. “I am convinced that the trust Belarusian manufacturers enjoy will be replicated in all the cities of Krasnodar Territory. We understand the close attention that is paid to the resort area. We have agreed to work on a large-scale program on introducing primarily electric vehicles in these regions. If our colleagues are satisfied with everything and their financial capabilities match our technical ones, then I think it will be Russia’s first large-scale project to introduce environmentally friendly transport in resort areas,” the prime minister noted.

Cooperation in civil engineering was also discussed. “I think that early next year we will come up with concrete social objects that need to be built in Krasnodar and other population centers of Krasnodar Territory,” the Belarusian head of government added.

There are also plans to sell more Belarusian food not only to retailers but to the hotel, restaurant, and catering (HoReCa) industry. “I am convinced that Belarusian producers are capable of satisfying the entire territory’s demand for these products, not only the resort area’s. We have to optimize logistics. We will actively work on it literally as from tomorrow,” Roman Golovchenko stressed.
