Belarusian companies promised help with entering Japanese market

MINSK, 18 September (BelTA) - The Belarusian government is ready to provide all-round assistance to domestic companies with entering the Japanese market, Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Igor Lyashenko said in his welcoming remarks at the Belarusian-Japanese economic forum held in Minsk as part of the Belarusian Industrial and Investment Forum in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

Igor Lyashenko noted that Belarus has always maintained a wide network of economic ties. Today the country remains open to mutually beneficial cooperation with all countries and regions of the world. “The government of the Republic of Belarus supports the interest of Japanese business to establish partnerships with our country and is ready to provide full assistance to Belarusian companies in entering the Japanese market,” Igor Lyashenko said.

He is convinced that the products made in Belarus have many advantages that have yet to be evaluated by partners from Japan. It is a wide range of industrial products, high quality food and advanced developments in the field of high technology. The two countries have something to share and learn from each other. There is a lot to strive for in the development of trade ties,” the deputy prime minister believes.

“One of the key goals of the forum is to raise awareness of Belarusian and Japanese businesses about the possibilities of business and investment cooperation through direct communication. I sincerely hope that the Belarusian-Japanese economic forum will become a permanent and effective platform for meaningful discussions and interested exchange of opinions and new ideas. This will help intensify bilateral trade, expand cooperation in the field of investment and technology between Belarusian and Japanese organizations,” Igor Lyashenko said.

He expressed confidence that the contacts to be established at the forum today will become a reliable basis for long-term mutually beneficial ties and will contribute to the deepening of bilateral relations.
