ISLAMABAD, 10 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian tire manufacturer OAO Belshina intends to set up a service center in Pakistan, BelTA learned from Alexei Yakovlev, the company’s Director General, after the third Belarusian-Pakistani business and investment forum on 10 November.
The Belshina head remarked: “We are working with a Pakistani company with a view to getting tires made in Pakistan using our brand. Together with the company that has started assembling Belarusian tractors we plan to set up a service center where our products will be represented, where replacements will be readily available, and where consumers, who use our products, can be consulted.”
In his words, Belshina has been cooperating with Pakistani companies for years. Pakistan primarily buys agricultural tires. However, the visit that took place in May 2015 gave a nudge to the development of cooperation. “We now have new clients. We are considering selling truck tires to Pakistan. Sample batches of car tires are already on their way. This year we have increased sales by 2.5 times in comparison with the previous years. The market is interesting and grows intensively for us,” he summed up.
The Belshina CEO stated that during the forum they signed two protocols of intent for the year 2016. The protocols envisage larger sales. “If I had to guess, we will increase sales by 50% next year,” said the Belshina Director General.
