MINSK, 25 October (BelTA) - The enterprises affiliated with the Belarusian light industry concern Bellegprom posted an increase in the export by 7% in January-August, deputy head of Bellegprom Natalya Murashko told the media on the sidelines of the BTI 2023 international light industry fair, BelTA has learned.
"The export of light industry goods rose by 7% in January-August of this year. That to Russia surged by 24%," Natalya Murashko said.
Speaking about the interest of Russian partners in Belarusian products, Natalya Murashko noted that there are two types of consumers of light industry goods. "There are consumers of ready-made goods (apparel and footwear) and we have a fairly developed network of our stores. We also manufacture semi-raw materials, namely fabrics. In this regard our consumers are manufacturing enterprises that use our goods to make finished products. Interest in both sectors is high," Natalya Murashko emphasized.
Russia is the historically main partner of Bellegprom, she added. "More than 80% of the concern's exports go to the Russian Federation. We cooperate with almost all regions," she said. She also noted that the main goal of Belarus in the market of the Russian Federation is to deepen industrial cooperation. "We seek to place sewing orders and are looking for such partners," Natalya Murashko added.
