MINSK, 27 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian mechanical engineering company Belkommunmash has contracted to supply 100 trolleybuses to Tajikistan’s capital Dushanbe, BelTA has learned.
The contract provides for supplying Model 32100D trolleybuses, which have the capability to travel for up to 15km autonomously. The first shipments are scheduled to take place this year. The final shipments will be delivered in September 2020.
Belkommunmash representatives noted that the signing of the large contract had been facilitated by the fact that four trolleybuses of the same model had been delivered in line with the previous year’s contract and had earned good reputation in Dushanbe.
All the new trolleybuses will be fitted with air conditioners for the driver and the passengers as well as video surveillance systems.
The 32100D model also boasts a low floor along the entire length of the passenger compartment. Its transistor-based drive allows saving up to 44% of electricity thanks to recuperation in comparison to rheostatic power operated motor controllers. Electric equipment is placed on the roof in hermetically sealed containers to prevent damage from atmospheric phenomena.
