MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian food industry concern Belgospishcheprom plans to boost export of confectionery products to China, head of Belgospishcheprom Oleg Zhidkov told the media in Minsk on 5 October, BelTA has learned.
"Our primary concern is the domestic market of Belarus. But the export potential is also high. Demand for our products abroad is greater than we can satisfy. Today, the share of exports is about 30% of the domestic output," Oleg Zhidkov said.
Exports to the Chinese market have been on the rise. "Confectionery enterprises are one of the drivers of exports to China, accounting for about 80% of Belgospishcheprom’s total exports to that market. This year we plan to increase the supply of chocolate candies," Oleg Zhidkov said. There are also plans to launch the export of fat-and-oil products to China.
Today, the confectionery industry affiliated with Belgospishcheprom will present new import-substituting products in Minsk.
