MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ intends to start exporting dump trucks to Turkey and Montenegro, BelTA learned from Yegor Chernyavsky, Deputy Head of the Analysis Department, Head of the Promising Markets Office at BelAZ, on 31 August. The news was released during the offsite session of the Industry, Fuel and Energy Complex, Transport and Communications Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus at BelAZ premises.
According to the source, BelAZ is an export-oriented company. In the last five years the company has penetrated the markets of Angola, Zimbabwe, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Morocco, Romania, and Czechia. “As far as near future plans are concerned, we are working on the first shipments to Turkey and Montenegro,” said Yegor Chernyavsky.
BelAZ products are promoted and exported by 61 distributors in 60 countries. Most of the vehicles are sold to Russia. While in 2012 non-CIS sales accounted for 13.5% of the total sales, in 2014 the figure reached 19.3%. There are prospects of raising it all the way to 30%.
In 2016 BelAZ exported $411 million worth of vehicles. In January-August 2017 the company’s export reached $469 million. This year’s total export is projected to reach $744 million, 80% up from 2016.

BelAZ is the world’s top manufacturer of haul trucks with a large carrying capacity and an extremely large carrying capacity as well as other heavy transport equipment used in the mining industry and the civil engineering industry.
