MINSK, 26 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ signed an agreement on additional vehicle deliveries in 2019-2021 with the Ukrainian mining company OOO Metinvest Holding during the 1st Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine, BelTA learned from BelAZ representatives.
The Ukrainian company will get an extra shipment of about 20 haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 130 tonnes and 15 wheeled bulldozers BelAZ 78231. The additional shipment agreement was signed on top of the strategic cooperation agreement BelAZ and Metinvest Holding signed back in 2017. That agreement provided for shipping 45 haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 130 tonnes and seven haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 30-50 tonnes. Some of the vehicles have been shipped, the deliveries continue.
During the 1st Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine in Gomel BelAZ representatives arranged a presentation of the company’s latest R&D accomplishments in the area of mining vehicles. Ukraine is one of BelAZ’s top three buyers. In Ukraine BelAZ vehicles are primarily used by the largest mining companies OOO Metinvest Holding and ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih.
