Belarusian antibiotics to be certified for exports to U.S.

BORISOV, 25 July (BelTA) – Borisov Plant of Medical Preparations is in the process of obtaining a certificate from the US Food and Drug Administration for its antibiotics, director general of the plant Vitaly Deresh told the media on 25 July, BelTA informs.

The plant is gearing up to have its antibiotic sterile packaging line certified for compliance with the FDA’s GMP requirements. When the company gets the FDA’s approval it will be able to supply its products to the United States and other countries. “The final audit will take place in 2018. After obtaining this certificate we will branch out into vast foreign markets with our products, packaged antibiotics in particular,” he said.

The company plans to export $1 million worth of products to the non-CIS markets in 2018. All in all, the company’s exports are projected to total $66.6 million in 2018 ($64.6 million in 2017).
