MINSK, 18 December (BelTA) – A new vehicle assembly line of the Belarusian mechanical engineering company Amkodor has been opened in Egypt, representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in Cairo told BelTA.
The work to open the second assembly line in Egypt was done in line with the memorandum of understanding signed by Amkodor, the National Organization for Military Production (NOMP), and Egyptian Company for Agriculture and Rural Development (ECARD) at the session of the Belarus-Egypt trade commission in Cairo in November 2018.
The test assembly of Amkodor loaders has been arranged in Abu Zaabal at an enterprise of the National Organization for Military Production in association with Egyptian Company for Agriculture and Rural Development. Two fork loaders have been assembled as well as two skid steer loaders and one wheeled loader.
The vehicles will be used for major infrastructure projects in Egypt. Their manufacturing will be gradually localized.
