MOSCOW, 25 September (BelTA) – Belarus-Vietnam trade turnover has increased by 23.3% since the establishment of the free trade zone between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Vietnam, BelTA learned from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
The results of the free trade zone agreement between the EAEU and Vietnam were discussed during a business dialogue including representatives of the EAEU business community. Stanislav Georgiyevsky, Director of the EEC Trade Policy Department , noted the positive dynamics in the bilateral cooperation between the parties to the agreement. The trade turnover between the EAEU countries and Vietnam increased by 11.8% in October 2016-June 2017 as against the same period of 2015-2016 since the entry into force of the agreement. There is also an increasing number of supplies of food products, agricultural raw materials, metals and their products from the EAEU countries to Vietnam
"Kazakhstan has the largest increase in trade with Vietnam among the EAEU countries. Its trade turnover increased more than twice in October 2016-June 2017," representatives of the EEC said. The trade turnover between Belarus and Vietnam increased by 23.3% and between Russia and Vietnam – by 5.5%.
